RICHARD THWAITES
Richard joined Emergent Capital Partners as a Partner in 2015 and became a Managing Partner in 2016. Richard has advised on a broad range of M&A and capital raising transactions for large corporate, financial sponsor-backed and founder-run businesses in geographies worldwide.
He spent the first seven years of his career in the Mergers & Acquisitions department at Morgan Stanley and latterly spent five years at HSBC where he became head of European Consumer and Leisure sector investment banking coverage. Richard has also worked in an in-house corporate development role for a FTSE 100 pharmaceutical company and has entrepreneurial experience with several start-up ventures.
He currently sits on the board of Limejump, a VC-backed technology driven utility company, and his focus at Emergent Capital Partners has included advising clients on a range of renewable generation and energy storage opportunities.
