MARK MACLEAN, Managing Partner
Mark  has over 30 years international experience in investment banking, M&A and  institutional private placement. Prior to joining Emergent Mark was Senior Partner and Head of Corporate Finance for Matrix Corporate Capital in London. 
Over the course of his career Mark has held a number of senior positions within the investment banking business including,  Global Head of Private Placement for West LB Group, Director and Partner of Seymour Pierce in London, Executive Director and Head of Canadian ECM for Barclays de Zoete Wedd in London, Vice President of Kidder Peabody & Co Limited in San Francisco  and  Vice President of Institutional Sales with McLeod Young Weir in Canada.
Since 1995 Mark has  advised on over 70 transactions representing in excess of €5.5 billion of  capital invested.

MARK STEINLEY
Mark joined Emergent Capital Partners in 2013 where he focuses on infrastructure and energy projects, particularly in North America. Prior to joining Emergent, Mark worked as part of a Special Projects team within Matrix Group in London.
Mark was a vice-president of MFC Bancorp responsible for mergers, acquisitions, and development related to mining and energy companies and projects. Mark was the first entrepreneur-in-residence and chief investment officer at  Chrysalix Energy before starting up Angstrom Power where he lead the business from creation through its first two rounds of successful financing. Previous to Chysalix, Mark was a developer/equity investor with ABB Energy Ventures/ABB Equity Ventures (subsidiary of ABB) responsible for large energy and infrastructure developments in Canada and the Western United States as well as Airport privatisation in the Americas. He has served as a director for Quinsam Capital, Equidyne Corporation, Cathay Merchant Group, HYAL Pharmaceutical, Med Net International, as well as the Trustee of Trimaine Holdings. Mark holds a B.Sc. in Electrical Engineering from the University of Saskatchewan and an M.B.A. from Marriott School of Management, Brigham Young University.

​​MAX RICHARDSON
​Having graduated from Loughborough with a Bachelor's degree in International Relations and Economics, Max initially joined as a summer intern before turning full time in 2014.
Having worked with Emergent for two years, Max has been exposed to a large array of transactions across typical mid-market Private Equity M&A and also the EIS sphere.  Recently Max was promoted to Associate Partner and plays a large client facing role whilst also performing crucial 'day to day' support and research analytics.
Prior to working at Emergent, Max  worked alongside a management consultancy within RBS' Lean Finance Transformation and also helped launch a fashion retailer Wornby where he worked within Administration and also as a Brand Assistant. 
Max is also a passionate fitness enthusiast having previously played  rugby to a national standard.
